Description
Yaritji was born in Adelaide, but grew up in Ernabella, South Australia. She currently travels between the two locations and has started to paint when in Adelaide. Yaritji describes this paintings as 'Walka', which can be interpreted as any kind of marking and pattern important to Yaritji and her people. Often this can be related to a cave drawing, sand pattern or body paint design, and in this case it is 'Walka' associated with Tjulpuntjulpunpa, or wildflowers from the bush.
