It was her father, William King who was the influence for Tarisse to begin pursuing a career in art herself and she began to experiment with her own designs and techniques. Today Tarisse paints imagery passed down to her from her father, which Tarisse says helps connect her with her family and culture. Tarisse also paints her own unique designs, which reflect her on going exploration of the world around her and her Aboriginal culture.
