Description
Lucky Morton has been painting and creating works of art since 1977. she comes from a linage of artists and started like many, in Batik. She then moved into Acrylic on canvas or linen and also tried her hand at wood carvings.
Lucky paints a number of stories, which are associated with different sites within the Utopia region - Ngkwarlerlanem and Arnkawenyerr. Along with this narrative depiction of Utopian life, Lucky also paints stories associated with Women's Ceremony, Bush foods and the Honey Ant.
