Charmaine Pwerle is an emerging Anmatyerre artist from the Utopia region in the Northern Territory. She is the daughter of well-known and established artist, Barbara Weir and is also the granddaughter of Minnie Pwerle. Charmaine paints 'Awelye - Body Paint Design for Women's Ceremony' a story that has been passed onto her from her famous grandmother. 

Another member of Charmaine's talented family is her Aunty, Betty Club Mbitjana who is also custodian of the story ' Body Paint for Women's Ceremony'.
