Christine Campbell is one of the six children of two accomplished painters, Dinny Campbell Tjampitjinpa and Bambutu Napangardi. Dinny is one of the founding members of the Papunya Tula art movement and painted there with his brother, Anatjari Tjampitjinpa. Before Dinny’s passing in 2000, Bambatu learnt to paint under his guidance and paints both her parents’ and Dinny’s Dreaming stories.

Bambatu taught her daughter Christine painting techniques and has passed on traditional Women’s Dreaming stories.
