Hazel Morton Kngwarreye is an Alyawarre woman from the Utopia region of the Northern Territory. Utopia is an old outstation area, situated approximately 270km North East of Alice Springs.

 

Hazel initially began working with the medium of Batik that swept through the Utopia region in the 1980s. She is included in the Holmes a Court collection book, ‘Utopia: A Picture Story’.
