Lanita was born in 1979 and attended school in Kormilda College in Darwin, Northern Territory. Lanita is ine of six sisters and two brothers. Her mother, also an artist, is Barbara Price from Stirling Station, located near Tennant Creek, Northern Territory. Lanita has several Dreaming stories from her family and is a strong teacher to her nephews and nieces of the next generation. Lanita now lives in Darwin with her two sisters, Jacinta and Louise Numina, who are also well-renowned artists.
