Julieanne paints Dreaming stories associated with the Budgerigar. The Budgerigar is a native Australian bird, found all over Australia. The Budgerigar Dreaming story represents the sacred ceremonial sites that the ancestral Budgerigar landed at to perform ceremony. During ceremony, the Budgerigar sang and danced, then flew up to the trees to roost. Julieanne’s artworks depict these sacred ceremonial sites as large circles seen from a topographical viewpoint, and small, tight clusters of circles represent the trees where they roost.
