This story depicts the Warlpiri hunting for a variety of different bush foods at different times of the year. Such foods include the witchetty grub, honey ants, desert truffle, bush bananas, bush onions, bush beans, bush carrots, and bush raisins.

Women traditionally dug for these foods using digging sticks. These digging sticks were charred and ground on a stone surface to create a bevelled edge, creating a sharper end on the stick. The bush foods were then collected in a coolamon so the bush foods were easier to transport.
