Anna-Marie Napanangka Gallagher lives in Nyirripi with her family and attends secondary school during the week. She paints in her free time alongside her mother, Janita Jampijinpa Gallagher, who paints with Warlukurlangu Artists. She has been passed on the Emu dreaming that belongs to her family and is associated with a site close to Nyirripi. Anna-Marie loves going hunting for bush onions.

This painting depicts a ‘yankirri Jukurrpa’ (Emu Dreaming) from a place called Ngarlikurlangu, approximately 50kms north of Yuendumu. The ‘kirda’ (owners) of this Dreaming are Nangala/Nampijinpa women and Jangala/Jampijinpa men.

This artwork is stretched and currently hanging in the gallery.
