In Azeza’s paintings, she uses a colourful and stylistic approach. Her striking and whimsical graphics map out where essential bush foods are located in her mother’s and great grandmother’s country around Mt Allan in the Northern Territory. She utilises traditional iconography to describe and depict where important ceremonial sites are found, specific types of edible plants, landscape markings and women sitting around ceremonial sites.
