Louise's Bush Melon paintings are colourful representations of the bush melon (also known as the bush tomato). This particular plant is abundant throughout Central Australia and is an edible food source within the Indigenous communities. The bush melon is a small shrub and has a very strong flavour and scent when ripe. Louise represents the melons through the use of circular patterns, while the small dot work represents the seeds of the plant.
