Chamaine paints ‘Awelye – Body Paint Design for Women’s Ceremony’. This is a representation of the body paint designs that are applied with ochre and charcoal to the womens’ bodies for ceremonial purposes. The U-shaped motifs are applied to the breast areas, while the linear designs are applied to the thighs and upper body.

She uses traditional iconography to show important and sacred ceremonial sites and their location, as well as the travelling lines leading the way through the arid land. It is at these locations where women gather and perform song and dance and other important aspects of ceremony.
