Patsy Ross Napaljari was born in 1975 and went to primary school in Willowra then to Yirara College in Alice Springs. Patsy is a Warlpiri woman and also the sister-in-law of artist, Janet Long Nakamarra. Patsy paints aspects of women's business, from collecting bush seeds, wild black berries to ceremonial details. Patsy and her family still go out collecting bush tucker when they go back to country. It is her abundant country that Patsy chooses to paint in her precisely painted works. Patsy learnt to paint from her mother, who she says was the happiest person in the world.
