To represent the Bush Plum, Cindy uses a fine paintbrush to work the many layers of dots onto the linen or canvas. The dots create the effect of flowering plants, the scattered seeds of the plum, and the ever-changing seasonal landscape after the heavy rain season. Cindy portrays the Bush Plum from an aerial perspective, utilising delicate dot work and subtle colours. The fine dots capture the Bush Plum in various stages of ripeness and the white lines that lie on top are indicative of the cracked desert earth upon which they grow.

The Bush Plum’s leaves is also represented in her work through the use of long, flowing lines.
