Women's Dreaming represents the importance of the Aboriginal women’s role of collecting, carrying, and preparing all the different types of bush foods. Nagarla’s paintings are designed to provide information to the younger members of the community, including her family, as to how and where to collect these bush foods, and which ones are edible or useful for medicinal or other purposes. This is part of the women’s responsibility to pass on tradition and knowledge from one generation to the next.
