Patricia’s is also well known for her depictions of the Bush Seed, which comes from the Bush Plum plant (also known as the Conkerberry).

The plum is a stable bush food source rich in vitamin C that is gathered by Aboriginal women. This fruit can be eaten raw or cooked. Ceremonies are also performed to celebrate the growth and importance of the bush plum as well as the regeneration to promote the continued life of the plant.

The Bush Seeds are represented by fine dot work, while the line thicker, linear dot work represents the women walking across country and scattering the seeds to promote the plants’ growth.
