In Regina’s paintings, the Bush Onion is depicted growing around water soakage sites and dry river beds, creating a flowering pattern when viewed topographically. The concentric circles and the myriad of white dots and dotted lines are representative of the Bush Onion. Through her paintings, Regina pays homage to the Bush Onion ancestral spirit, passing down traditional knowledge to future generations so that the Bush Onion can be collected and celebrated according to traditional law.
