'It's Bundjalung Country representing our creation story of how our land was formed. The Ancestral story talks about a great battle between our totem the Goanna and a Snake that created the valleys and mountains that range from Evans Head to Tweed Heads where the highest mountain in the area is Mount Wollumbin (known as Mount Warning). The Goanna saved the people from the Snake and sits wait at a place in Evans Head called Chinamans Beach. The formation of the area around the rock face resembles the Goanna still there to protect our people.'
