Maggie Bird Mpetyane is an Anmatyerre Woman from the Utopia Region of NT. She is the eldest daughter of Paddy and Eileen Bird and is granddaughter of the well-known and highly respected Ada Bird Petyarre.

Like many women in her family, Maggie paints Dreaming stories associated with ‘Alpar’ Rat Tail plant Bush foods and ‘Awelye’ Women’s Body Paint for Ceremony. The ‘Alpar’ Rat Tail plant seed Dreaming is the most common story that Maggie depicts.
