The Emu is a story that represents the travel paths of the Emu Ancestral Spirit across the Utopia region. The concentric circles represent important meeting sites for both the Emu Ancestral Spirit, as well as members of Louise’s family. The lines connecting these sacred sites are the travel paths, mapping out where the Emu Spirit once travelled. U-shaped motifs are often the mountainous sandhills that are found throughout Utopia, and offer a reference as landmark formations.
