Kershini currently lives and paints in Yuendumu, a remote Aboriginal community 290 km northwest of Alice Springs. She paints Ngatijirri Jukurrpa (Budgerigar Dreaming) and Marlu Jukurrpa (Kangaroo Dreaming). These Dreamings are located at Jila (Chilla Well), a claypan to the west of Yuendumu.
The Budgerigar Dreaming story is located south of Yuendumu, Northern Territory. The Budgerigar is a small green bird, represented by the X shapes. The birds lay their eggs after the summer rains, and the men hunt the eggs, as they are a delicacy.
